Lindsy Sallee grew up with a mindset that quitting wasn’t an option, which helped her in her career. Despite studying political science, Lindsy was attracted to NOV, an oil and gas company, due to the recruiters’ personality and demeanor. Initially rejected, she took an inside sales role when it became available.

Lindsy had to overcome her lack of technical knowledge, but she learned each role and took the initiative to understand the products she was selling. As a mom of two, Lindsy advises on work-life balance and advocates for diversity and inclusion in the workplace. She believes that placing nontraditional people into different roles will grow diversity in all aspects.
