Flexible Work Schedule

Eligible employees within the can typically observe a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in an NOV office and up to 2 days working remotely.

Employee Resource Groups

NOV currently has 4 employee network groups in the US and 2 internationally, with the hopes of creating new groups and expanding to new regions. NOV’s employee network groups create opportunity for informal/formal mentorship, professional and personal growth opportunities through access to trainings, seminars, networking events, and other activities. The current network groups are VET Connect, Elevating Women Together, Caregivers Alliance, and Multicultural Professional Partnerships.

  • Early Career Programs with Intern and Full-time opportunities.
    • NOV’s Internship Program offers current college students the opportunity to participate in a paid summer internship program. NOV interns work alongside professionals to learn about their day-to-day job and assist them on a variety of projects and tasks, across various disciplines.
    • Pathway is a rotational program for new and recent college graduates. It is an opportunity to obtain meaningful work experiences through a structured 2- to 3-year rotational program. The program is designed to help participants develop strong functional/technical expertise and business knowledge through challenging, hands-on assignments and to expose them to various business groups across NOV. The program is concentrated in the Houston area but does have some regional participation as well.
  • Harvard Manage Mentor: HMM is online learning platform available anytime, anywhere to all employees! With 41 topics, over 200 lessons and endless curated articles, this go-to resource for employee development, team development and business development.

Paid Holidays

In the U.S. all full-time and part-time, regular employees receive two flexible holidays per calendar year in addition to the NOV US nine regular scheduled holidays. NOV recognizes and respects that each member of our global family has personal and cultural practices and encourages employees to observe those personal and cultural occasions that may not be included on the NOV US holiday calendar.
