Sarah Magruder, Founder and CEO of Savvy, shares a powerful story of resilience, adaptability, and authentic leadership shaped by both personal and professional challenges. Raised as a military child, Sarah grew up moving across the country, developing an early ability to adapt, connect, and walk confidently into unfamiliar rooms. After graduating from LSU, she launched her career in oil and gas consulting at just 22, quickly becoming a specialist in severance tax, incentives, and royalties while working with major operators across the industry.
After building a successful in-house career in oil and gas, Sarah reached a pivotal moment where she recognized a glass ceiling and chose to bet on herself by starting her own company. That entrepreneurial journey included hard lessons, a major rebrand from Sapphire to Savvy, and the intentional creation of a brand rooted in authenticity. Alongside business challenges, Sarah navigated cancer, temporary loss of her voice, divorce, and physical setbacks—experiences that reshaped her mindset and leadership philosophy. Today, she leads Savvy with clarity, optimism, and purpose, encouraging others to embrace reinvention and build lives and careers that truly reflect who they are.
