Misty Alexa is the Manager of North Slope Development and previously oversaw ConocoPhillips’ operations on the North Slope.

Having first gone to school to study law, she quickly found her calling was in math, physics, and science, and pivoted nimbly to the STEM area of study. Despite no real connections to the oil and gas industry, Misty discovered opportunity as well as a passion for the types of engineering projects being undertaken in the energy world. That passion has translated into a 20+ long career at ConocoPhillips, and there are no signs of slowing down for Misty anytime soon!
  • Family is Your Greatest Support Network. Misty's parents and brother were integral to her academic success and overall confidence, and their support made her believe she could do and be anything.
  • Be Honest about Your Development, Aspirations, etc. Misty recounts how her openness and honesty, with herself, her partner, and her work supervisor, led directly to several overseas opportunities.
  • Keep Developing Your Skill Sets. Over a long career- especially with one company- Misty has learned the importance of constant and continual development and skill attainment.
