“Flexibility and Adaptability: The Key to a Successful Career” with Evelyn Vilchez- Mexico Country Manager at Chevron.

Evelyn Vilchez has been the general manager of Chevron Energía de México since March 2017. In this role, she promotes Chevron’s key stakeholder relationships in Mexico to help advance the country’s hydrocarbon sector and Chevron’s interests there. With more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Vilchez has held commercial, business development, and strategic planning management positions with Chevron in Venezuela, Angola, and the United States.

Vilchez is an active member of the American Society of Women MBAs and a leader in several nonprofit organizations, with a particular interest in educational initiatives for Hispanics in Houston. Vilchez graduated from Tulane University with a bachelor of science degree in computer engineering in 1986. She also received a master’s degree in corporate finance from La Universidad del Zulia in Venezuela in 1994. During her guest appearance on the Flipping the Barrel podcast, Evelyn Vilchez shared several valuable insights on navigating a successful career journey.
