Karen started her career in the oil and gas industry in the 80s, a time when few women were present. Despite facing numerous trials and tribulations throughout her 36-year career, Karen’s pursuit of a graduate degree at A&M changed her career trajectory. Her thesis on completions optimization in the Marcellus shale earned her a $5 million research grant and a job offer from Mobil.
